Dialup Username & Password Errors

Problem: Error 691/718. Invalid username or Password. Authentication Failed.
Access denied because username and/or password is invalid on the domain.
Remote Server could not authenticate the connection. Dial-up networking could not establish a connection; check your password and try again.

Operating Systems: Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98, & NT; Macintosh OS X, OS 8-9

These types of errors are generally caused by mistyping your username and password. However, the account may be inactive if payment is past due.

If you are prompted for your username and password before the computer connects:

• Clear the Username field, and re-enter your dialup username. It should always be in lower case letters. Most customers will use the form of username@VISP Data Not Found
